Psychotherapist & CounsellorMSc, MBACP
Our health and wellbeing come from having meaningful and satisfying relationships with others and ourselves, and being able to come to terms with what is going on in our life. Psychotherapy helps us understand and uncover what is causing us distress, and through this process of getting to know ourselves better, we can feel more empowered and in control of our lives.
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist that has experience of working with a range of clients across the NHS, the charity sector and in student counselling. I trained at Birkbeck College, University of London and am affliated with, and abide by the ethical codes of The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Alongside this I have a background in the creative sector and this informs my way of working; encouraging creativity and flexibility within therapy are intrinsic to my practice.
I believe that being curious about your inner life and paying attention to your unconscious can help you identify what is causing you distress. As a result of this understanding you will be able to achieve a more balanced sense of self and feel more in control over your life.
I will help you look at how experiences in your past may have influenced your life today and how these have shaped your behaviour, motivations and relationship patterns. Rest-assured that this will be approached from an open-minded and non-judgemental perspective, and within a safe space.
Feel free to contact me for an initial conversation. This will be a free phonecall and last approximately 20 minutes. It will provide an opportunity for us to become acquainted and for me to explain how we can work together.
I am currently offering all sessions by telephone or video call.
