People come to therapy for many different reasons; some want help to work through childhood traumas, others need help and support to work through something difficult they are presently going through, such as a break-up or a bereavement. Many come to therapy without really knowing what the problem is - maybe they’ve lived with depression and anxiety for a long time without grasping why. Relationship issues are another common reason to seek therapy and better understand what is going on and how it is affecting them. My role as a therapist is to help my clients facilitate this understanding and to enable them to work through their issues and find a healthier and happier way to navigate their life.
